The Perfect spread: Butter & Olive oil

Updated: Sep 20

What if you could have all the goodness of butter, with less saturated fat, and the health-boosting nutrients of Mediterranean oils?

Any store-bought spread will soon fo you become a thing of the past... It's a one-way street!

The key is getting the best possible quality ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 200g grass-fed butter, at room temperature

  • 1/2 cup extra virgen olive or avocado oil (organic and cold-pressed). Or mix and match if you prefer!

  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan or sea salt (optional)

Procedure

  1. Whip the Butter: Place the room-temperature butter in a mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer, whip the butter for about 30 seconds until it becomes creamy.

  2. Add Olive Oil: Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuing to whip the butter. Start at a low speed and gradually increase to medium as the mixture becomes smooth. This should take about 2 minutes.

  3. Add Salt: If you like a bit of extra flavor, add the salt and mix briefly to combine.

  4. Store and Serve: Transfer the spread to a serving bowl. You can keep it at room temperature for up to a week, or store it in the fridge if you prefer a firmer texture.
